Entrepreneurship isn't supposed to be easy....and that's okay

Entrepreneurship isn't supposed to be easy....and that's okay:

I'm following the path of parallel entrepreneurship where over the next 10 years, I build and buy a series of companies at the same time. The ultimate 2033 vision: my partner and I are sitting on a beach in Mexico at an offsite with the CEOs and General Managers of our businesses.

I'm inspired by my mission and love what I do, but I'd be lying if I said each day was easy. Starting companies sometimes feels like you're running into a wall for 25 straight days until you finally find the key to open the front door. The next day, you're back running into that same wall and the patterns continue until you make it or just give up.

Focusing on multiple companies at the same time makes everything harder especially when the businesses are too nascent to have full-time CEOs or General Managers. Over the last few weeks, I've been busy, but busy-ness doesn't always lead to productive outcomes. While I understand this is part of building businesses, it can be frustrating at times.

Most people don't make it as entrepreneurs. I've been lucky to have a bit of success, but that doesn't mean I'm guaranteed any future success. That's what gets me excited. This is a game that I love playing.

If it were easy, I don't think I'd find the same level of satisfaction. Looking back at when we were building WeHero, overcoming the difficult challenges was the most fun part.
